On May 22nd, 1971, a gathering at the home of Brian and Pat Dyson was held to gain support for the formation of the Rottweiler Club of Victoria. The emblem selected to represent the newly formed Club was that of the German town Rottweil. The aim of this Club is to protect and promote the Rottweiler. The first General Meeting was held on June 25th, 1971, 32 people were in attendance. Elected to Office were:

The Rottweiler Club of Victoria Inc…

  • Is a strong breed club with members dedicated to the Rottweiler 
  • Provides an opportunity to learn about the Rottweiler Breed.
  • Provides social training on a Wednesday Night from 7 pm At Kcc Park Cranbourne (State dog centre)
  • Breed records & History available
  • “ON Guard” magazine available to full memberships 
  • Championship shows, Obedience trials, Open shows, ET (endurance trial) Rally & Herding 
  • Has a Promo team out and about educating the public about the Rottweiler 
  • Holds General Meetings so Members are aware of what is happening in their Club and so those Members can become involved in decision making and administration of their Club.
